is not the hard part.
OmeTV is the biggest random video chat site running — roughly 20 million visits a month, strong mobile apps, country filters, and a match in about a second. It is genuinely good at the thing it does. The question worth asking is whether that thing is what you actually wanted.
What a country filter can and cannot tell you
OmeTV lets you narrow by country and gender. That changes the pool, which is real, but it does not change what you know at the moment the camera opens: nothing about this specific person, and nothing about how they have behaved before.
So the decision is still made on a first half-second of video, and both people know it. That is what produces the skipping, and no filter reaches it.
Nothing follows anybody
The deeper issue is that an OmeTV conversation leaves no trace on either person. Someone who behaves badly meets the next person with a clean slate, and the report you file protects nobody you can identify. Moderation can only ever be reactive, because there is no history to be proactive about.
Every random chat site with this shape has the same ceiling, however much moderation is bolted on afterwards.
What we do instead
A profile, the subject they came to talk about, the languages they speak, and a rating from people who actually talked to them — all before the video opens. You can message first. Both people say yes, or nothing happens.
Ratings accumulate on an account that cannot be shed by reloading, so behaviour has a cost and good behaviour is visible. That is the whole mechanism.
What you lose
Speed, and reach. OmeTV has twenty million visits a month and we do not, so on a quiet subject you may wait where OmeTV would have connected you instantly. When that happens the search widens by itself, and you can schedule a conversation and share the link instead.
We would rather be honest about that than pretend a young network is a big one.

Is there an app?
It runs in the browser on a phone or a computer, and can be installed to a home screen. There is no separate app store download.
Can I filter by country?
You match on subject and language rather than country. Language is usually the filter people actually wanted — it is the one thing a conversation cannot happen without.
Is it free?
Yes, with no paid tier and no advertising. An account is required, because ratings and blocks have to attach to somebody.
