Running a good feedback swap

Feedback swaps go wrong when one person demos for 20 minutes and the other nods politely. Here’s how to make both halves genuinely useful.

Split the time, hard

Ten minutes each, timer visible. When it’s your turn to give feedback, ask what decision they’re trying to make — “should I keep this feature?” is answerable; “what do you think?” is not.

Lead with the question, not the tour

When you’re presenting, skip the full walkthrough. State the one thing you’re unsure about and show only what’s needed to reason about it.
